1. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Exploits Ministries App and related backend services at https://app.exploitsministries.org. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are a minor where you live, you may use the App only with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian.
• You must provide accurate information (including a name and email address) and keep it up to date. You may also be required to choose a username.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You may sign in with email/password or with Google Sign-In.
• Notify us promptly at support@exploitsministries.org of any unauthorised use of your account.

3. The Service

The App provides religious and ministry content and features, which may include: audio and video sermons, daily devotionals, "Heaven Whispers", events and RSVPs, prayer requests, testimonies, live audio broadcasting and listening with live chat, "Live TV" (YouTube) playback, favorites, playlists, downloads, and giving/ donations.

We may add, change, suspend, or remove features at any time. Some features (such as broadcasting and recording) are available only to accounts we authorise as broadcasters or administrators.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
• post or transmit content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, obscene, fraudulent, or infringes anyone's rights;
• impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation;
• upload or broadcast content you do not have the rights to share (including music, recordings, video, or images);
• disrupt, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the App, our servers, the live-stream infrastructure, or other users' accounts;
• attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or app-integrity checks; or
• collect or harvest other users' data without consent.

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. User Content

5.1 Your content

"User Content" includes anything you submit or transmit through the App — profile information, chat messages, prayer requests, testimonies, and (for broadcasters) live broadcasts and uploaded recordings.

You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting it, you grant the Ministry a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, transmit, display, and distribute that content for the purpose of operating and providing the App (for example, showing your chat message to other listeners, or publishing a sermon you upload). This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except (a) for copies retained as described in our Privacy Policy (e.g. anonymised chat history and financial records) and (b) to the extent others have already relied on it.

You are solely responsible for your User Content and confirm you have all rights necessary to submit it.

5.2 Broadcasting, recording, and imported music

• Broadcasters control when their microphone is active; audio is only captured while broadcasting.
• A broadcaster may record their own broadcast on their device and may choose to upload it as a sermon. Uploaded sermons become publicly available in the App.
• The mixing feature lets broadcasters import music from their own device. You must hold all necessary rights and licences for any music or other material you mix into or broadcast through the App. You are responsible for any royalties or permissions required.

5.3 Our content

Sermons, devotionals, branding, and other materials provided by the Ministry are owned by the Ministry or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may use them only within the App for personal, non-commercial use, and may not redistribute them without permission.

6. Giving and Payments

• Donations and other payments are processed by our third-party payment processor (Relworx) via mobile money or card. Supported networks and currencies (e.g. UGX, KES, TZS) may change.
• By making a payment you authorise the charge and confirm you are entitled to use the payment method.
• Donations are generally non-refundable except where required by law or agreed by us in writing. To query a transaction, contact support@exploitsministries.org.
• We do not store full card numbers; payment-card processing is handled by the processor under its own terms.

7. Third-Party Services and Content

The App integrates third-party services including Google Firebase, Google Sign-In, YouTube, our payment processor, our streaming host, and Cloudflare. Your use of YouTube content is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and Google's policies. We are not responsible for third-party services or content and do not endorse them.

8. Notifications

With your permission, the App sends push notifications about new content, live streams, and payment confirmations. You can turn notifications off in your device settings.

9. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time (Profile → Delete account). We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the App or its users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. content licences for retained data, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive.

10. Disclaimers

The App and its content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. Live streams, recordings, and notifications may be delayed, interrupted, or unavailable. We do not warrant that the App will meet your requirements.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Ministry and its officers, volunteers, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising from your use of the App. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Ministry from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your User Content, your use of the App, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version in the App and update the "Last updated" date and, where required, notify you. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Uganda, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Uganda will have jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under your local law.
